“Who Controls The Past Controls The Future,” Says The Guy Who Wrote Trump’s 8th Grade Book Report on 1984

Reported first by Reshmorter McReallyGood from the Schassosiated Smess, sixty-two years ago to the day, Monday, July 21st, 1958 Donald Trump offered a much smaller, much weaker, much less gooder and richer classmate three gold doubloons to write his book report for him.  Donald was in summer school at the time. The young man took the gold doubloons and changed the course of history forever.

Below is an excerpt from that fraudulently submitted assignment.

“Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.” (Orwell 44)

Orwell’s main character, Winston speaks these words to O’Brien explaining both the world the book takes place in and the world the reader ought to be wary of in one simple line of text. I find this rather beautiful. So much philosophy, so much warning, all in one sentence. If I am to lead one day I hope to remember such an idea.

“When the summer school teacher read the analysis young Donald Trump submitted she took a breath, a pause, a moment to thin.” Said the janitor who always seemed to be in the right spot at the right time when a story needed something to be overheard.

Just a millisecond of thought later and the teacher had understood what happened and what could potentially happen 6 decades later.
